There are no restrictions in regard of the different business activities for foreign Investors in Qatar . A Qatari partner / sponsor needs to hold at least 51% of the stake. Side agreements can minimize the Qatari shareholding to either fixed annual / monthly payments or to 5% of the profits.
Exemption: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce may permit foreign investors to own more than 49% (up to 100%) of a company in following sectors: agriculture - industry - health - education - tourism - energy - mining.
In QATAR foreign capital is guaranteed against expropriation.
